Leaders

We’d like to introduce the King’s Church leadership team. It comprises 3 elders: Pete Henare, Phil Haddow and Julian Todd.

Pete Henare was born and grew up in Wellington. He was a student at Tawa College and then Victoria University. During his OE in the UK he met Julie. Shortly after they were married Pete was asked to lead a local church in the Newfrontiers family of churches. In 2002 they returned to the Wellington region with their three sons to start King’s Church. Pete leads the eldership team.

Phil Haddow was leader and then evangelist at the Haywards Heath Newfrontiers church in the UK. He and Jackie came to NZ with their two sons in 2006. Phil has a passion for the good news about Jesus. He leads our Alpha Course where anyone can ask questions and find out about Jesus for themselves.

Julian Todd has been part of Newfrontiers for more than 20 years. He and Claire were part of the team that founded King’s Church in 2002. They have a son and two daughters. In addition to leading and preaching, Julian is also a church trustee.
